We’ve (the Tez Capital team) been acting in the Steward of Governance provisionally (until the time of this election), having helped guide 6 passed proposals, including 2 team funding ones.

Embedded in the Tezos world from its early days, Primate (tzc.tez) possesses a deep and nuanced understanding of the community. His experience in decentralized governance and consistent positive contributions speak for themselves. The core team strongly believes that the DAO will thrive during its early stages with him as the Steward of Governance.
We’d like to keep going by helping foster a builder’s attitude and making the proposal process as smooth as possible by working with stakeholders in the TED DAO community.
We believe there is more to be done on the logistical front, to make sure the SoG role is fully realized in function. This includes documenting the logistics of the role and addressing the de-centralizing of the SoG role and its succession. Lastly, we’d like to explore expanding the role by proposing some checks and balances it can do in the context of the TED DAO Executive Team in general.
Explain how you will fulfill all the duties outlined in the job description:
Here are the job requirements of the SoG from P-006:
- Steward of Governance (SoG)
- Follows TED constitution
- Advance proposals between stages and communicate with proposal authors on behalf of the DAO, without bias
- Have the authority to manage and change the proposal process and the governance forum rules if needed.
- Free to set the moderation policy of the governance forum (talk.tezos.domains)
- Does not hold the authority to change the DAO constitution. That power is reserved for the DAO itself (via constitutional amendment).
- Can temporarily suspend the minimum quorum requirement for constitution amendments if the DAO is unable to reach the quorum for a longer period. This emergency mechanism is defined by the constitution in section IV-1.
- Works with other DAO executive roles as needed
Having met all these requirements in the first 6 proposals, we’d like to improve and fully document the proposal logistics as well as the role’s own procedures and customs.
We’d like to proactively look into strategic TED DAO survival and self-perpetuation plans, to ensure that the DAO can effectively provide its Domain Name service without interruption or corruption into the far future.
